Job summary

ATCO Structures in Alberta is seeking a General Laborer (Production Worker) to support the assembly of modular units at our Rockyview manufacturing facility. Under the Lead Hand, you will follow safety procedures and strive for high quality and timeliness in every task.

The role involves sheeted materials installation, doors/windows/millwork assembly, blueprint reading, and using hand and power tools. Physical work and a team environment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry on residential or commercial construction projects.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs unassisted and 35 lbs overhead.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing sheeting materials (subfloors, walls, roofing) for modular units.
• Assist in assembling doors, windows, trim, and millwork, including hardware and painting.
• Gather materials needed for assembly and installation of small finishing items.
• Pre‑assembly of components; read and interpret blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools safely and follow safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our Rockyview manufacturing facility are looking for a talented General Laborer (Production Worker) to join our team. Under the direction and leadership of the Lead Hand, the General Laborer is responsible for the assembly of modular units and other modular building components, ensuring work tasks are performed following safety procedures while ensuring a high level of quality and timeliness. This is a union‑based role.

What You Get to Do:

• Assist in the installation of sheeting materials, including subfloors, wall sheeting, and roofing sheeting using various materials.
• Assist in the assembly of doors, windows, trim, and millwork, including the hardware and painting.
• Gather material needed for assembly of units and installation of small finishing items.
• Pre‑assembly of components, read and interpret blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Any experience in carpentry in residential/commercial construction projects, home renovation projects, DIY carpentry projects, building decks, and fences.
• Experience in operating hand and power tools in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift 55lbs unassisted and 35lbs overhead.
• Capability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods.
• Comfortable operating hand and power tools in a safe manner.
