Job summary

IMT Group is seeking a General Laborer to join our manufacturing team in Canada. You will support daily production activities, assist with material handling, operate equipment as needed, and help maintain focusing on safety and quality.

The role offers on-the-job training and opportunities to grow within a long-established Canadian manufacturer serving multiple industries. Shifts include days and afternoons, with a value-driven culture and a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
  • Move materials throughout the facility using manual methods or equipment.
  • Support machine operators and production staff as needed.
  • Perform basic assembly, grinding, deburring and finished tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections of parts.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality defects to supervisors.
  • Perform other general labour duties as assigned

General Description

Supports daily production activities in a manufacturing environment. Assist with material handling, equipment operation, and general shop duties while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
  • Move materials throughout the facility using manual methods or equipment (e.g., electric handcart, jib cranes – certification)
  • Support machine operators and production staff as needed.
  • Perform basic assembly, grinding, deburring and finished tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Conduct visual quality inspections of parts.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality defects to supervisors.
  • Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Working Conditions
  • Industrial manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to heat, noise, heavy equipment, and moving machinery.
  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements required.
