Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring for General Helpers to join our kitchen and front-of-house teams in Brampton. Seasonal part-time and permanent part-time roles are available, with early starts around 5am and a focus on food prep, sanitation, and guest service.

You will handle opening/closing tasks, receiving deliveries, inventory, basic cooking support, and ensure HACCP/QA standards are followed while delivering a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• Fast-paced environment experience is preferred.
• Tim Hortons experience is preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation as shifts begin at 5am.
• Previous kitchen experience is considered an asset.
• Excellent decision making and problem solving.
• Familiar with using a cash register is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning walk-in fridge & freezer, oven, and baking station.
• Receiving and stocking deliveries.
• Opening and/or closing checklists and reports.
• Weekly inventories and tracking reports.
• Assist with cooking duties and prep work.
• Follow HACCP/QA standards for food prep.
• Adhere to HR and health/safety policies and Compass policies.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Ensure sanitation and safety requirements are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for cleaning walk in fridge & freezer, oven, and baking station
• Responsible for receiving and stock deliveries
• Responsible for opening and/or closing checklist, as well as necessary reports
• Responsible for weekly inventories, stocking and other tracking reports
• Assist with cooking duties and prep work
• Be familiar and able to follow HACCP/QA standards for food preparation
• Ensure adherence to human resource and health/safety policies, as well as all other Compass policies
• Know, understand and comply with all relevant operational standards and procedures that are current
• Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Ensure compliance with allsanitation,and safety requirements.
• Make recommendations, cross-sellproductsand introduce new ones.

The hourly wage for this role is $26.81. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
