Job summary

Compass Group Canada (Beaver) Ltd. is seeking a General Helper to prepare, present and serve meals and drinks, ensuring quality and presentation. The role includes following safety standards and assisting across workstations in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong time management, the ability to work independently or in a team, and good English communication. Prior food service experience is an asset; eligible for competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage workload.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
• Good command of English language, both verbal and written, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food is considered an asset.
• Physical ability to carry out duties (up to 40 lb).

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Welcome customers by determining coffee interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions.
• Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques (espresso, cafe latte, cappuccino).
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Assure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Work at various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed.

Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
