Crawford & Company is seeking a General Claims Adjuster for the Global Technical Services team. The role blends technical claims evaluation with negotiation of settlements for multi-line property claims, in a hybrid setup across Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

The successful candidate will analyze expert reports, coordinate with independent experts, pursue subrogation when appropriate, and maintain client relationships while adhering to provincial licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of functional and technical claims handling experience in large loss, commercial claims and liability.
• Ideal candidate will have a construction, property and/or casualty background.
• Commercial policy interpretation and experience making recommendations to the market.
• Licensed or working towards CIP and/or FCIP designation.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be a General Claims Adjuster for the Technical Services Team and will be working in a hybrid set up in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They will be actively involved in evaluating multi-line claims with a focus on property (commercial and personal lines) claims through loss investigation, and be responsible for negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.
