Albarrie Canada Limited in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a General Accountant to support the Director of Finance with monthly closings, reconciliations and reporting to stakeholders. You will reconcile G/Ls, bank accounts and inter‑company activity, manage payroll input, assist audits and help document accounting policies in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
5+ years of plant accounting experience.
Experience in industrial manufacturing.
Experience with intercompany transactions.
Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems proficiency.
Strong collaboration and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review and reconcile G/Ls, bank accounts and inter‑company transactions monthly.
Reconcile invoices and credit notes; correct misapplied deposits.
Handle WSIB and provincial tax filings.
Manage amortization schedules; post year-end adjustments.
Review payroll records and post related journal entries.
Maintain chart of accounts and ERP templates.
Assist with audits and prepare financial reports.
Support month-end and year-end close.
Collaborate with the Director of Finance on processes and policies.
Assist AR/AP as needed.
