Job Summary

As a key member of the Accounting Department, the General Accountant will primarily handle general ledger reconciliations, with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable duties and supporting Accounts Payable. This hands-on role requires adaptability to change and reports directly to the Controller.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1. Reconcile general ledger accounts
2. Issue sales invoices, apply payments, and handle customer inquiries
3. Manage AR aging reports and perform collections
4. Support accounts payable processes as needed
5. Assist with other accounting and administrative duties

Qualifications and Desired Attributes

1. Business or Accounting degree/diploma/certificate preferred
2. Minimum two years of experience in general accounting or Accounts Receivable
3. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (intermediate level)
4. SAP experience is an asset
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
