Scotiabank is offering a GBM - CAG Internship/Co-op in Toronto for Winter 2027. The program runs Jan 2027 to Apr 2027, with 37.5 hours per week and a paid work term designed to build foundational analytics and credit experience.

You will join Global Banking & Markets, work on financial statement analyses, risk assessment, and credit requests, and gain exposure to corporate banking products and cross-functional teams. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

• Perform analytics functions – financial statement analysis and risk assessment, with extremely high degree of attention to details and accuracy, in accordance with guidelines, policies and established procedures.
• Demonstrate straightforward and succinct identification and analysis of key risks of existing or proposed clients and/or transactions.
• Analyze, prepare and process annual review or credit requests in accordance with Bank policies and guidelines.
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency as appropriate to the situation.
• Develop industry expertise for assigned industries.
• Develop product knowledge and expertise
• Complete CAG tasks in connection with quality control
• Complete other tasks as assigned, i.e. research, assisting industries in special projects, etc.
• Demonstrate professional approach in interactions with key stakeholders. Promote cooperation and strong profession working relationships with the working unit, Global Corporate Banking, GCM Banking, GBM Product Groups, and GRM.
• Demonstrate flexibility and is seen as a valuable team resource
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining high standards of work

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Spanish or French would be an asset.
• Financial Modelling skills an asset.
• Solid understanding of core credit products (loans, cash management, derivatives, FX, etc.) an asset
