Job summary

MTU Maintenance Canada Ltd. is seeking an apprentice to learn and assist with disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines and aeronautical components. You will implement work plans, use test equipment, and report defects under supervision.

Ideal candidates have completed an AME or GTE course, strong mechanical aptitude, and clear communication skills. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and hands-on training in Delta, BC.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognized AME or GTE course or equivalent entry qualification.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must have knowledge of engine components/accessories.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills, organizational skills and cooperate well with others.
• Must be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Learning about disassembly, assembly, inspection and test stand work on gas turbine engines and aeronautical components/accessories.
• Implementing work plans by following instructions from various sources.
• Using test and measuring equipment to carry out work.
• Recognizing and reporting defects on parts, assemblies, engines, and accessories.
• Certifying correctness of work and performing preliminary inspections.
• Raising and creating repair documents and ordering parts.
