Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Gas Fitter I to join our team in Sherwood Park. In this role, you will perform a variety of manual tasks to support branch operations during the high-paced winter heating season.

Advancement in the apprenticeship program is possible for the right candidate. Your responsibilities will include installing and servicing heating systems, maintaining propane and natural gas systems, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all equipment is handled safely.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Apprentice in the provincial Gasfitter program.
• Must have class 5 license and clean driving record.
• Experience in temporary construction heating is required.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Able to work overtime, including on call shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and tear down temporary heating systems.
• Work with propane and natural gas systems.
• Service and maintain construction heaters.
• Load and unload equipment, operating 1 and 2 tonne picker trucks.
• Provide superior customer service.
