Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate (Field Helper) in Sherwood Park, AB, for seasonal/full-time work. You will support Gas Fitters in the field with labor, install and maintain equipment, and ensure safe, efficient operations at the branch.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, loading/unloading gear, and demonstrating equipment to customers, with opportunities for advancement into driver and technician development programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Strong communication, teamwork and safety awareness.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check heat equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Assist Gas Fitters in the field by providing general labor support and helping with installation, maintenance, and operational tasks as required.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment.
• Other duties assigned as needed
