Apex Utilities Inc. is seeking a Technician Trainee in Athabasca to support our Distribution Operations team. This on-site role offers hands-on training, field experience, and progressive skill development within a unionized environment.

Starting wages are part of a multi-year progression, with Year 1 at the trainee level and Year 2–4 advancing to technician wages. Candidates should have a high school diploma and a drive to grow in gas utility operations.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Gas Utilities Operator course training provided by the company.
• Three years in related field, with some operations experience in a natural gas utility.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain natural gas pipeline systems.
• Complete documentation on time as required by regulations.
• Respond to natural gas emergencies promptly.
• Perform construction tasks per policies and procedures.
• Represent the Company to customers and the public.
• On-call duties rotate to address emergencies.
