Job summary

Finning Canada is hiring Gas Compression Technicians to support our Mobile Team. Base options include Calgary, Edmonton or Red Deer with a 7x7 continuous shift. You will troubleshoot and oversee repairs on Caterpillar gas and diesel engines, in shop and field, to keep customers running reliably.

We seek candidates with CAT experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers. Per Diem, accommodations, and a benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification is required.
• Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Minimum 2 years as Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• 2 years experience on gas engines and compressors.
• Experience operating a service truck is preferred.
• Completion or ongoing Finning S-level courses.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Field diagnosis and running repairs on site and in the shop.
• Support large-scale overhauls and rebuilds.
• Component replacements as needed.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain client communication.
