Location: Central BC Region – location can be flexible as long as it is within our trading location.

Job Overview: Reporting to the Director of Retail Operation, you will oversee the profitable operations of our Gas Bars, Convenience Stores, and Car Washes. Your focus will be on delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high cleanliness and image standards, and ensuring top tier merchandising of quality products. You will drive continuous improvement and develop strategies that align the division with Four Rivers Co-op's strategic vision, achieving growth and business development objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and Gas Bar teams to develop the annual division strategy, five-year capital development plan, and market feasibility studies to maximize growth.
  • Create and manage the division’s annual operating budget, ensuring alignment with corporate goals for pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory.
  • Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and performance management of Gas Bar teams.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, engagement, performance management, and succession planning for the division.
  • Guide the execution of goals, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient, effective, and safe operations.
  • Promote the Four Rivers Co-op Health and Safety Program.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and organizational requirements, as well as commodity programs and policies.

  • Experienced in managing multiple sites, including Gas Bars, Convenience Stores, and Car Washes, with the ability to travel and ensure operational standards.
  • Committed to delivering a positive customer experience with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Skilled in controlling costs, optimizing operations, and improving margins.
  • Proven expertise in operational management, including commodity, financial, and HR responsibilities, and advising senior executives.
  • Effective team leader with experience in coaching and providing constructive feedback to team leaders.
  • Honest, trustworthy, results-driven, and dedicated to excellence.
  • Focused on building relationships, fostering collaboration, and valuing diverse perspectives to achieve goals.
