The Role:

Canco is currently seeking a Gas Attendant to join our team at our Canco 122 Collingwood location. We are looking for an individual with exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities!

Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers, answer questions, and aid with fueling and other inquiries.
2. Follow safety protocols when handling fuel, including the use of safety equipment such as gloves and safety glasses.
3. Clean fuel pumps, fuel islands, restrooms, convenience store, and any other customer areas. May also pick up litter around the station.
4. Stay informed about and adhere to all safety regulations, environmental regulations, and industry standards related to fuel dispensing and gas station operations.
5. Respond to emergencies, such as fuel spills, fires, or medical incidents.
6. Keep records of fuel sales, transactions, and inventory levels, as required.
7. Update the price displays and ensure accurate pricing at the pumps.
8. Restock supplies such as windshield washer fluid, paper towels, and other automotive products.
9. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies are running low.
10. Process payments from customers, including cash, credit/debit cards, or mobile payments.
11. Operate fuel pumps, including how to reset pumps, handle different fuel types (e.g., gasoline, diesel, ethanol blends), and monitor fuel levels in underground storage tanks.

What You Bring:

1. Previous experience in a customer service role or retail.
2. Experience in petroleum or convenience stores is preferred.
3. Strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 30 pounds).
6. Accurate cash handling and the ability to use point-of-sale (POS) systems.
