Job summary

Roska DBO Inc. seeks a Gas Analysis Administrator for a 1-year term based in our downtown Calgary office.

The role involves being the first point of contact for Protrend, providing staff training, and acting as the SME for fluid analysis and sampling processes. Responsibilities include coordinating oil and gas sample scheduling, validation, and distribution, managing lab imports and audits, and supporting third-party analysis with issue resolution.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in oil & gas fluid analysis administration with Protrend experience required.
• Demonstrated strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Broad knowledge of heavy oil, conventional and upstream oil and gas operations.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field.
• Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for Protrend support and staff training.
• Act as SME for fluid analysis, sampling processes and Protrend usage.
• Coordinate and administer oil & gas sample scheduling, validation and distribution.
• Manage system processes including lab imports, analysis validation, audits and exports.
• Analyze drawings to identify sample points, metering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate third-party analysis procedures and communicate issues to stakeholders.
• Provide support for software issues.

Job description

Our client, a major oil and gas producer, is currently seeking a contractGas Analysis Administratorfor a 1 year term based in their downtown Calgary office.

Key Accountabilities:

• First point-of-contact for Protrend, support and training for staff including the field, production accounting and operations.
• Subject matter expert for fluid analysis, sampling processes and Protrend application
• Coordinating and administering oil and gas sample scheduling, validation, and distribution processes to ensure compliance with both internal processes and external Alberta, BC and Saskatchewan regulatory protocols.
• Manage system processes including laboratory imports, analysis validation, lab analysis audits and exports to various required systems
• Analyzing schematic drawings to identify sample points, metering and opportunities for cost savings.
• Manage third party analysis procedures including scheduling, setup, validation/review and communication of any issues/concerns to respective parties
• Supporting software issues.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ of industry oil and gas Fluid Analysis Administration experience with Protrend is required
• Quick learner, strong organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills with good attention to detail
• Heavy Oil, Conventional, and Upstream Oil and Gas industry knowledge required
• Post-secondary degree/diploma
• Strong Excel spreadsheet
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. With the ability to manage large datasets, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables
• Basic knowledge of chemistry an asset
• Experience with Petrinex software and production accounting would be an asset.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma
