Job summary

Gateway Casinos is seeking a Team Supervisor to oversee table games on scheduled shifts, ensuring top-tier customer service and adherence to policies.

You will mentor dealers, monitor game flow, comply with AGCO regulations, participate in promotions, and help hire/train staff while maintaining a safe, engaging casino floor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one to two years experience as a dealer of Blackjack and Baccarat.
  • Knowledge of Roulette, Poker is an asset.
  • One to two years of experience in a supervisory position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor dealers, providing instruction, assigning duties, and evaluating performance.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service and collaborate with the casino team.
  • Monitor table floats and determine outcomes and game irregularities.
  • Stay informed on company policies, provincial and local regulations for casino operations.
  • Participate in casino and marketing initiatives and promote events.
  • Demonstrate exceptional public relations with customers.
  • Maintain open communication with staff and address issues and feedback.
  • Resolve disputes and explain rating systems to guests; manage bankroll adjustments and game security.
  • Assist with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development of staff.
  • Exude strong presence on the gaming floor while managing the team and delivering service.
  • Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations and applicable laws.

The Position

Supervises table activities on scheduled shifts. Ensures that a high level of customer service is maintained and, table play and policies and procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor dealers, providing instruction, assigning duties, and evaluating performance.
  • Ensure excellence in customer service and collaborate with the casino team.
  • Monitor table floats and determines the outcomes and game irregularities.
  • Stay on top of company policies and procedures, provincial and local regulations for casino operations.
  • Participate in casino and marketing initiatives and promote events.
  • Demonstrates exceptional public relations with customers.
  • Maintains an open-door policy with all employees and communicates issues, concerns, and feedback.
  • Resolves customer and table disputes, explains the rating system to guests, implements bankrolladjustmentsandobservesassigned game activity toprovidegame security.
  • Accountable for your staff,assistingwith hiring, training, evaluations,recognitionand development.
  • Exudes a strong presence on the gaming floor while managing team and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Ensures compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable laws,policiesand regulations.
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards,debrisand litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
