JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Game Designer at Ubisoft Montréal, you will work across a range of game systems and mechanics. You’ll help create experiences where player choices matter. Throughout production, you’ll adjust and balance your designs while considering both the details and the overall player experience.

What you’ll do

  • Design game mechanics and systems aligned with the game’s design and creative direction
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate your assigned features
  • Build prototypes in Unreal Engine and assess their performance
  • Adapt your designs to technical and production constraints

QUALIFICATIONS

What you bring to the team

  • Apply deep game design expertise across different systems and mechanics
  • Use Unreal Engine, along with word processors and spreadsheets
  • Bring thoughtful design skills to a range of gameplay problems
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the AAA video game market
  • Bring experience shipping AAA games as an asset for this role
  • Share your enthusiasm for building high-quality AAA games
  • Communicate and present your ideas clearly in writing and conversation
