What You'll Do

Epic is looking for a FX Artist to join our team working on Rocket League. A successful candidate should have a strong sense of dramatic effects and an understanding of how to recreate them in a real-time particle editor. They will be first and foremost a team player, while also having the ability to be self-motivated and work autonomously. If you have a strong sense of weight, timing, motion, and you demonstrate technical aptitude with Materials and Logic, then we are ready for you to bring those abilities to execute outstanding FX in our games.

In this role, you will

1. Execute outstanding effects for our games by bringing dramatic effects to life
2. Create all art needed for the visual effects, including FX concept, prototype, and final FX
3. Execute across a range of visual effects styles from realistic to stylized

What we're looking for

1. Must have a strong reel/portfolio showing executed Real-Time FX work
2. Experience with Unreal is preferred
3. You have a critical eye for the timing, animation, and motion of real-world objects and visual FX with an ability to bring dramatic FX to life with flair
4. Ability to create all art needed for the FX
5. Desire to work with a team, share knowledge, and grow together
6. Shipped multiple titles within the game industry
7. Strong desire to learn new techniques, and grow tools and pipeline
8. Experience working on a live-service game is a plus
