Job summary

TD Canada Trust is hiring a Personal Banker Trainee in Niagara Falls, Ontario. You will connect with customers to understand financial needs and offer investment and credit solutions while completing training and mobility within the assigned district.

You will develop expertise in personalized financial planning, maintain client relationships, and collaborate with frontline teams to deliver a positive banking experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree in related field is an asset.
• Completion of IFIC or equivalent required.
• CFSA must be completed within 12 months, if hired.
• Real estate secured lending and/or investment experience an asset.
• Sound knowledge of investing and credit processes to provide personalized advice.
• Proficiency in software tools including MS Office and internet application.
• Tactful communicator able to exchange ideas and customer information in a concise and logical way.
• A self-initiator with strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers on high-level financial solutions from a range of investment and credit banking options.
• Ask thoughtful questions to engage customers and create positive experiences.
• Provide personalized financial advice to increase confidence and deepen relationships.
• Act as a point of contact for frontline staff in handling customer problems.
• Maintain professional space in common areas per guidelines.
• Work with customers to provide financial reviews and discuss portfolio updates.
• Stay knowledgeable about evolving regulations and participate in process improvements to protect TD's interests.
• Strive to achieve service level agreements and productivity targets.
