Goldfish Swim School – Grand Rapids is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of patrons under supervision. You will monitor pool areas, enforce rules, and provide emergency care when needed, contributing to a GOLDEN experience for children and families.

Ideal candidates are comfortable working with kids, have strong communication skills, and are ready to participate in on-the-job training. Safety standards follow CDC/WHO guidelines and local requirements; flexible scheduling is available and

Responsabilidades

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately to secure safety of guests.
• Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until EMS arrival.
• Ensures medical services are contacted by appropriate means when necessary.
• Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary.
• Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members.

Role:

Lifeguard

Summary:

Under general supervision, ensures the safety of patrons of Goldfish Swim School – Grand Rapids by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of an accident or emergency
• Communicates the rules of the facility to patrons fairly and consistently
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Ensures that medical services are contacted by most appropriate means when necessary to respond to an emergency
• Advance through cross-training in multiple roles and substitutes when necessary
• Provide a Golden Experience to our students, families, and team members

Job Qualifications and Skills

• Ability to work with children
• Prior related leadership and teaching experience is preferred (supervisory roles)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations prior to training

Safety Standards:

The safety of our swimmers, parents and team members is of the utmost importance. Goldfish Swim School follows all CDC and WHO safety standards along with following any local guidelines. In addition here are some additional safety precautions and procedures we follow:

• Every shift has an on-staff cleaner to sanitize high touch areas in our lobby and pool areas
• Our pools are disinfected with chlorine to provide the safest swimming environment
• Our state-of-the-art ventilation system allows fresh air to continuously circulate into our building, further minimizing the spread of any airborne virus
