Job Description:
Shine Kitchen Cabinets Ltd., a leader in custom kitchen and furniture manufacturing based in Surrey, BC, is currently hiring a skilled and experienced Furniture Carpenter. We are known for delivering top-quality cabinetry and furniture solutions for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, creative, and capable of building customized wood furniture pieces from scratch with precision and craftsmanship.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood substitutes
  • Construct and install custom furniture, cabinets, countertops, and other wood fixtures
  • Operate woodworking machines such as saws, routers, planers, and sanders
  • Apply finishing techniques like sanding, staining, and varnishing
  • Inspect and repair damaged wood products or components
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good condition
  • Collaborate with designers, installers, and clients to fulfill project needs
Education and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture or cabinet carpentry
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and woodworking machines
  • Strong understanding of wood types, joints, and finishes
