Job summary

RCM Architectural Inc. in Quebec, Saint-Isidore, is seeking an experienced cabinet/furniture maker for on-site work in a custom shop. You will study plans and specifications, trim joints, fit parts, and repair or restyle furniture and fixtures.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent oral communication. French language ability is noted, and safety boots are required.

Qualifications

• No degree required; relevant experience valued.
• 3–5 years of experience in cabinet/furniture making is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; French preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct apprentices.
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made.
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies to form a complete unit and reinforce joints.
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products.
