Job summary

Arbor Memorial in Scarborough, Ontario, is seeking a Funeral Director to oversee and direct all aspects of funeral services, including filing death certificates and embalming. You will lead ceremonies, support families, and maintain obituary listings with compassion and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Possesses a Funeral Directors license.
• Displays proven, superior arrangement, directing and embalming skills.
• Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
• Exemplifies Arbor’s values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
• Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license.

About This Role

As a Funeral Director at Highland Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel, located in Scarborough, Ontario you will have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to families on their end-of -life journey by overseeing and directing all aspects of funeral services, including: filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming and providing assistance during the execution of funeral services.
