Job summary

Sport Nova Scotia is seeking a Fund Development & Event Coordinator to drive revenue through fundraising programs, plan and manage events, service sponsors, and oversee merchandise orders.

The role requires collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Events and focus on targets, inventory control, and effective communication with partners.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Sport Marketing, Sport Administration, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in event management, project management, and database management.
  • Ability to collaborate and support development of new initiatives and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with sales/revenue targets.

Responsibilities

  • Set registration/revenue targets for team/club fundraising programs in collaboration with the Director of Marketing & Events.
  • Engage warm leads and develop strategic initiatives to grow fundraising programs.
  • Achieve revenue targets and assist with prize/team recruitment for revenue events.
  • Manage registrations and act as liaison for fundraising programs.
  • Coordinate updates to online platforms and lottery licenses/reports for events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, ticket sales, seating, and participant communication.
  • Produce sponsor reports and assist with sponsor servicing and recruitment.
  • Research and recommend apparel and merchandise, manage inventory and orders.

Job Summary

This role focuses on revenue generation through fundraising programs, planning and coordinating events, servicing sponsors, and managing merchandise and promotional product orders and inventory.

Entry Level Criteria

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Generation Programs
  • In collaboration with Director of Marketing & Events, set registration/revenue targets for team/club fundraising programs including but not limited to Sport Split and SportSweep
  • Engage warm leads and develop strategic initiatives to grow team/club fundraising programs
  • Assume responsibility for achieving set revenue targets associated with team/club fundraising programs
  • Assist with prize/team recruitment for revenue generation events
Revenue Program Administration
  • Manage registrations, acting as primary liaison for team/club fundraising programs
  • Manage raffle draws and prize distribution
  • Manage ticket distribution and reconciliation
  • Coordinate updates to online platforms
  • Coordinate lottery licenses and gaming reports for revenue events and programs
  • Manage required documentation on revenue programs including invoices and reports
Event Coordination
  • Assist with the coordination and on-site logistics of Sport NS events including but not limited to Rafflebox Golf Classic, Milk Sport Fair, Enterprise Rent-a-Car Ceilidh and Casino and Support4Sport Awards
  • Manage ticket sales, seating plan and communication with event participants
Sponsor Service
  • Produce sponsor reports
  • Assist with sponsor servicing and recruitment
Merchandise and Promotional Products
  • Research and recommend apparel, merchandise and promotional products
  • Act as the key point of contact for apparel and merchandise orders with D’Costa Marketing
  • Manage inventory ensuring orders are timely and products available as needed
  • Oversee inventory storage and control
Team Participation
  • Build and maintain effective and collaborative networks and relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Participate regularly in staff meetings, events, and staff training
  • Participate in OH&S Committee and Connections Committee
