Job summary

Raise is hiring a Functional Manual QA Tester in Toronto, working hybrid (in-office Wed/Thu). The role pays $37.45–$43.29 per hour on a 4-month contract with extension potential, focusing on data integrity in financial systems and reporting platforms.

You will develop test plans, execute cases, analyze datasets in Excel, and write SQL queries for validation and reconciliation. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Manual QA testing experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation, and complex formulas.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills including SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Experience testing data-centric applications, financial reporting systems, ETL processes, or data transformation workflows.
• Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and defect management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience working with large enterprise data environments.
