Job summary

Functional Lead, SAP Platform | Brampton, ON

We are looking for an SAP Functional Lead to join our dynamic team at Loblaw Companies Limited. In this role, you will work in an Agile, hybrid environment, supporting the design, configuration, integration, and implementation of SAP solutions, as well as supporting day-to-day SAP operations. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other technology partners to understand requirements, resolve issues, and deliver effective solutions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to utilize your current SAP knowledge while developing additional SAP experience; including, the advancement of your knowledge of modern SAP S/4 solutions and best practices, Agile delivery methodologies, operational support models, and other relevant technologies.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Analyze business requirements and processes and translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories, functional design documents, and SAP solution requirements that support business objectives.
• Design, configure, test, and implement SAP Retail solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams, ensuring solutions are scalable, integrated, and aligned with organizational standards and best practices.
• Support day‑to‑day SAP operations by investigating functional issues, performing root‑cause analysis, identifying solution or process gaps, and recommending and implementing effective resolutions.
• Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders, peers and others to facilitate meaningful communication and collaboration.
• Communication on project health status, gaps or risks, and recommend solutions in a timely manner to enable successful delivery of the finished product on time, and on budget.

WHAT YOU BRING:

• SAP functional expertise with 3+ years hands‑on experience in IS Retail, SAP MM, or SD modules, including configuration
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with an interest in understanding how systems and business processes work together.
• Ability to convert abstract, complex information into concrete material and design proposals that can be easily understood.
• Strong time management, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple activities, communicate information clearly to diverse audiences, present ideas effectively, maintain accuracy, and follow through on commitments.
• Basic knowledge of ABAP language and ABAP Development Workbench is an asset
