Purpose

Accountabilities

1. Foster a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank-wide systems and knowledge.
2. Write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best practices.
3. Gather and refine technical specifications and requirements.
4. Create and maintain software documentation.
5. Collaborate with the Scrum team to plan, execute, and escalate issues as needed.
6. Manage product and release backlogs with forecasted delivery timelines.
7. Contribute to improving engineering practices and team collaboration.
8. Demonstrate strong personal values, commitment to the mission, and understanding of risk considerations.
9. Maintain operational excellence and compliance with bank values and controls.
10. Support an inclusive, high-performance work environment.

Experience and Education

1. 5+ years of experience in software development supporting large-scale customer-facing platforms.
2. Proficient in Java and JSP for enterprise applications.
3. Experience with Java 8-21, Spring, Spring Boot, web-based IT principles, and system integration.
4. 3+ years working within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
5. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
6. Leadership experience in guiding team members.
7. Post-secondary education in computer science or engineering preferred.
8. Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular) and cloud systems (Azure, GCP) is an asset.
9. Scrum certification is an asset.
