Job summary

AlayaCare, based in Montreal, seeks a Fullstack Developer (Python) to join our Product team. You’ll build high-quality features for our SaaS home healthcare platform, collaborating with senior engineers to ensure deliverables are well-sequenced and maintainable.

You’ll spend most of your time coding, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the technical roadmap while focusing on continuous delivery and real-world impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience developing applications in Python and writing unit tests with PyTest.
• Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript; Vue.js is a plus.
• Relational databases, SQL, Git, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).
• Interest in AI-assisted development and staying current with industry trends.
• Bilingual in French and English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, and debug software as a full-time product team member.
• Dedicate 75%+ of time to coding and delivering features.
• Participate in code reviews, discussions, and knowledge sharing.
• Apply engineering patterns to improve reuse, extensibility, and scalability.
• Monitor production apps, investigate issues, and resolve client-impacting problems.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and best practices.
• Prepare automated end-to-end tests to ensure quality.
• Plan and share knowledge on core concepts and tools with teammates.
• Identify gaps in requirements and collaborate to design solutions.
• Take ownership from design through production and grow responsibilities.
