Job summary

W. W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking warehouse associates for multiple shifts in Edmonton, Canada. You will safely perform loading/unloading, picking and packing, and use scanning devices to fulfill orders for customers.

You\'ll report to a DC Supervisor and collaborate with teammates to meet safety, quality and productivity standards. Prior experience with industrial equipment is preferred; candidates must pass a background check and be able to lift up to 50 lbs daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced, physically active job.
• Experience with industrial machines (order picker, forklift, pallet jack).
• Ability to speak and understand written and spoken English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately complete warehouse tasks including loading/unloading, sorting, labeling, putaway, replenishing, auditing, picking and packing products using industrial machines.
• Operate wrist-worn or hand-held scanning equipment to fulfill customer orders for shipping.
• Resolve exceptions in order fulfillment due to stock discrepancies, order processing errors, damaged products, carrier changes, etc.
• Follow lock out and tag out procedures for powered industrial equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and hazardous material requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, behaviour, attendance, and overtime requirements.
• Perform other tasks as directed by leadership, including all functions of a DCA II.
