Job summary

Bento Inc. in Ottawa is seeking Food Service Team Members to join our sushi-focused team and help prepare high-quality items while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Full-time positions start immediately at $17.60/hour. You will work on-site at 250 Greenbank Road Nepean, Ontario, and contribute to a fast-paced service environment with training provided and opportunities for career growth.

No prior sushi experience is required; we provide comprehensive training and progression paths.

Qualifications

• Food service experience required; sushi experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Comfortable using basic technology for communication and training.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (45 lbs).
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sushi and other menu items according to company recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain accurate logs.
• Track daily production and assist in kitchen operations.
• Receive, check, and organize inventory, and assist with ordering.
• Work closely with store staff and management to ensure smooth sushi bar operations.
• Use Bento operations tools to update production, inventory, and other data.
• Maintain Bento customer experience standards.
