Qualifications

• Graduate of Personal Support Worker program or equivalent healthcare training.
• Experience working with seniors in the community health services setting.
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Current VPS screening including a criminal background check (within 6 months) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an inter-professional team with a person-centered approach to care.
• Adhere to the plan of care as determined by the supervisor.
• Assist with resident mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Provide direct resident care and document care in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Provide medication administration and documentation following policies and procedures.
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and maintain resident confidentiality.
• Engage with residents and families to support cognitive, social, and emotional well-being.
• Complete mandatory education and training requirements to develop knowledge and skills.
