Job description

Securiguard will be hiring for a full-time guard in the Prince Rupert area! This is a chance to be a part of a unique and exciting project! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-impact team in a specialized environment, offering competitive pay and rotational shifts

Hours of work: 4-on / 4-off rotation | Strictly Night Shift (18:15 - 07:45) Pay Rate: $20/hour + daily OT/DT
Worksite: Barge-based; transportation via water shuttle (included in shift time)

Job Requirements:

• Providing excellent customer service to both the client and its guests
• Emergency response: Ability to respond to incident/emergency situations and follow required protocol
• Access control at terminals and project sites
• Patrolling of designated areas
• Radio check ins
• Report writing
• Identify and reporting safety hazards
• Visual security presence - detect and deter unauthorized persons
• Coordinating and liaising with the police or emergency personnel when required
• Reporting security breaches
• Adhere to Securiguard's core Values, Vision, Mission statement
• Perform regularly scheduled site duties as required by client standard operating procedures
• Keep consistent notes using company issued note book
• Frequent shift activity reporting

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid BC Security License
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to write clear and detailed incident reports
• High attention to detail and keen observational skills
• Must be comfortable commuting via water shuttle to and from the barge (travel time
  included in paid hours)
• Reliable transportation to get to the shuttle point in Prince Rupert
• Must be available to work on a 4-on / 4-off rotation, strictly night shifts (6:15 PM -
  7:45 AM)
