Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Full Time Production Associate for the Extrusion Night Shift in St. Thomas, Ontario. Join a safety‑driven team building exterior building products.

You will assemble, inspect, and prepare windows and doors, operate hand tools, review work orders, and participate in 5S and continuous improvement. Night shift carries a $1.25/hour premium and overtime after 42 hours. Candidates should be 18+, comfortable lifting 30–50 lbs, and willing to work rotating shifts

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand for a full shift and lift 30–50 lbs.
• Willing to work night shifts, rotating shifts and overtime as required.
• Experience with hand and power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to meet quality standards.
• Review work orders and prepare materials for production.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, and automated machinery.
• Inspect finished products and report defects or quality concerns.
• Prepare products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and loading.
• Contribute to 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production goals and team performance targets.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Work respectfully and collaboratively as part of a team.

North Star Windows & Doors (St. Thomas, Ontario) is hiring a motivated team player with a strong safety focus and willingness to learn to join our Production Team.

As part of the team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Assemble, fabricate, and inspect windows and doors to meet quality standards and specifications
• Review work orders and prepare materials for production
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, pneumatic tools, welding equipment, and automated machinery
• Inspect finished products and report defects or quality concerns
• Prepare products for shipment, including packing, labeling, and loading
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute ideas to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Support production goals and team performance targets
• Follow leadership direction and verify quality through measurement
• Adhere strictly to safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work respectfully and collaboratively as part of a team

• Previous experience in general labour, construction, or manufacturing is preferred
• Willing to learn, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Able to stand for a full shift
• Comfortable working in a physically active, safety sensitive production environment; able to lift and maneuver products (30–50 lbs, medium to heavy lifting)
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
• Manual dexterity and comfort handling materials
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Safety‑conscious and detail‑oriented
• 18 years of age or older and eligible to work in Canada
• Must be available for two‑week rotating shifts
• Must be available to work overtime and Saturdays when required
