Position: Full-time Produce Clerk

Availability Requirements: Unrestricted (including evenings, weekends)

Responsibilities:

1. Customer service
2. Train and motivate staff
3. Schedule staff appropriately to meet business needs
4. Delegate and prioritize workload for staff
5. Maintain up-to-date information about market trends and competitor activities
6. Receiving, handling, and storing of product to achieve optimal results
7. Ensure proper product rotation as required
8. Ensure pricing integrity
9. Perform other duties to ensure courteous, friendly service, competitively priced products, and a store that meets hygiene standards

Qualifications/Experience:

1. Minimum 1 year experience in a Produce Department
2. Understanding of a full-time Produce clerk’s impact on store performance, including merchandising to No Frills standards, maintaining and ordering inventories, dealing with warehouse personnel and suppliers, and checking invoices for proper pricing
3. Maintaining cleanliness to standards
4. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
5. Customer focus
6. Ability to manage people and work independently with minimal supervision
7. Solid understanding of store operations and products
8. Accountability for store operations in the absence of a manager, including key carrying, loss prevention, and health & safety responsibilities
