Voyago is hiring a Full-time Patient Transfer Attendant/Trainer in Kitchener, Ontario

Your Role

1. You are responsible for the safe transport of patients via stretcher/wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
2. You can provide outstanding customer service.
3. You have excellent communication skills.
4. You must be available for all shifts.

Requirements

Your Profile

You must possess the following qualifications:

1. Valid First Responder Certification OR AEMCA, or are working towards a Paramedic Diploma (must be in your first year), OR are a Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
2. Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C).
3. Valid G class driving license.
4. Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
6. Safe driver with a clean driving record.
7. Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
8. Up-to-date immunization records including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), TB Skin Test (Step 1) - valid within the last 12 months.
9. High school diploma or proof of equivalency/post-secondary diploma.
