The role of Emergency Medical Call Taker (EMCT) is the first point of contact in 911 calls directed to ambulance services. Working in a call-centre environment, the EMCT provides support to the public via telephone in cases of emergency medical situations. Location: Langford Dispatch Operations Centre, 2764 Leigh Road, Victoria, BC V9B 4G1
Hours: Shifts on weekdays and weekends, rotational shifts, 24/7 operation, typically 2x 12-hour day shifts, 2x 12-hour overnight shifts, then 6 days off.
