Job summary

GUIDO FAMILY in North York, Ontario, is seeking a Home Health Care Worker for a permanent full-time role. On-site work only, with optional live-in accommodation at no charge. Salary is $21.00 hourly, with 30 to 40 hours per week, and starts as soon as possible.

The position involves caring for an elderly person, providing bedside and personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and meal preparation in the client’s home.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Experience is an asset.
• Security: Criminal record check.
• Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Care for an elderly person with a disability.
• Administer bedside and personal care to the elderly person.
• Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Assist with regular exercise such as walking.
• Mend clothing and linens.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Provide companionship and personal care.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
