Job summary

COHEN FAMILY in North York, ON is seeking a Home Health Care Worker to provide in-home care for an elderly client. Duties include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation and assisting with daily activities.

Permanent, full-time position, on-site at the family's home with optional live-in accommodation. Requires secondary school completion, respect for safety, ability to lift up to 9 kg, and criminal record check.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Experience is an asset.
• Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
• Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Care for an elderly woman/man with disability
• Administer bedside and personal care to the elderly person.
• Assist the elderly person with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
• Assist the elderly person with regular exercise, such as walking.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Provide companionship to the elderly person.
• Provide personal care to the elderly person.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
