Job summary

Northland School Division is seeking an Full-Time Elementary Teacher for Bishop Routhier School located at the Peavine Métis Settlement, Big Lakes County, about 56 kilometres north of High Prairie. The role involves delivering the prescribed elementary curriculum and supporting Cree language and culture infusion.

You will plan lessons, provide timely feedback to students and parents, and engage with the school community to promote differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
• Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
• Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.

The settlement is situated within Big Lakes County and is approximately 56 kilometres north of High Prairie on Highway 750.
