Specific Position Duties

• Deliver high-quality music instruction to students in Grades 4–6, supporting creativity, rhythm, performance, and musical appreciation
• Support general classroom instruction as an elementary generalist, with a focus on literacy and numeracy
• Apply differentiated instructional strategies to meet a range of student needs
• Experience working in multi-grade or split-grade classrooms is considered an asset
  
  

Qualifications And General Duties

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Experience working with Google Suite
• Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
• Possess a strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professional relationships with students
• Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectiveness as an educator
