Specific Position Details:

• Start Date: August 25, 2025
• End Date: June 26, 2026
• Location: Wainwright Elementary, Wainwright, AB
• Subject Areas: Elementary Generalist (Grade assignments to be determined)

• FTE: 1.0 (three positions)

• Contract Types:

  • Probationary: Two full-time positions

  • Temporary: One full-time, full-year position

Specific Position Duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging instruction in core elementary subjects

• Demonstrate familiarity with the new Alberta K–6 Program of Studies

• Apply a variety of instructional approaches to support diverse learning needs

• Experience in elementary education, including early and upper elementary, is considered an asset

Qualifications and General Duties:

• A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Experience working with Google Suite
• Shall be a dynamic student-centered educator committed to maximizinglearning in a safe and caring environment
• Experience and/or training in the application of Assessment for Learning strategies, embedded formative assessment, and varied summative assessments is essential
• Possessa strong background in the use of technology to enhance student learning
• Ability to create a positive learning environment and foster positive professionalrelationships with students
• Is dependable with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a team setting
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth and continually increasing their effectivenessas an educator
• A willingness to participate in extracurricularactivities would be considered an asset

Wainwright Elementary Schoolis a K-6 school located in Wainwright, Alberta. Our school serves the communities of Wainwright, Denwood, and the surrounding rural areas. WES is comprised of approximately 400 children from kindergarten to grade six. Our students are served by a staff of approximately 40 caring individuals who strive to develop the whole child.
