Job summary

The YMCA of Three Rivers is hiring an Early Years Educator for full-time, permanent work in Guelph-Wellington. You will implement a play-based curriculum for 0-6 years and a connected program for 6-12, while supporting families and maintaining safety standards.

Starting rates include provincial funding: RECE $24.00 and Registered EYE $28.00 per hour, with benefits and a total rewards package. Immediate start with 3 weeks vacation and other wellbeing supports.

Qualifications

• ECE diploma and active registration in good standing with CECE.
• Experience with child-centered early years programming is preferred.
• Knowledge of YMCA Playing to Learn and Place to Connect curriculums.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a child-centred program aligned with Playing to Learn (0-6) and YMCA Place to Connect (6-12).
• Provide quality compassionate care and support to children and families.
• Build positive relationships with children and keep families updated on progress.
• Ensure safety and supervision in accordance with provincial policies and YMCA rules.
• Complete documentation of children's development and learning opportunities.

Education

An Early Childhood Educator Diploma

Registered (or proof that registration is in process) and in good standing in the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)

Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Work /Child and Youth Care or Bachelors of Education or Social Service Worker or Social Work or Recreation and Leisure

Candidates with a Bachelor of Education

High School Diploma

Currently enrolled in any child related post secondary program
