Riverside Health Care Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Adult Day Worker for the Fort Frances/Emo/Rainy River locations. The role supports the Adult Day program, plans activities, and coordinates supplies and transportation in the Rainy River district.

The ideal candidate will have a health care background, CPR, a valid G license, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include developing activity schedules, coordinating with CSS Coordinators and Managers, and ensuring high-quality service

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in a health care related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health care setting an asset.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including EMR an asset.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Valid Driver's License, Class G, and a safe driving record.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality.
  • Experience working with elderly populations in a community setting.
  • Ability to assess and respond to client needs and set priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with retention and guarantee service delivery for the Adult Day program.
  • Attend and plan Adult Day programming for the Rainy River district.
  • Develop schedule of activities and events for Adult Day programs across the Rainy River district.
  • Order crafts, food, and supplies for the Adult Day program in conjunction with CSS Coordinators.
  • Liaise with district organizations and resource persons for entertainment programming.

The Community Support Services department has an opening for a FullTime Adult Day Worker at the Fort Frances/Emo/Rainy River location. Thesuccessful candidate must be able to meet the normal requirements of the joband possess the following:

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:

Certificateor diploma in a health care related field preferred;

Minimumof 2 years’ experience in a health care setting an asset;

Proficientin using Microsoft Office applications including EMR an asset;

ValidCPR certification;

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will assist with retentionand guarantee service delivery for the Adult Day program.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Responsiblefor attending and planning Adult Day programming for the Rainy River district;

2. Developschedule of activities and events for Adult Day programs across the Rainy Riverdistrict;

3. Responsiblefor ordering crafts, food, and other supplies necessary in the Adult Dayprograms across the Rainy River district in conjunction with the CommunitySupport Services Coordinators;

4. Liaiseswith district organizations and resource persons to arrange entertainmentprogramming for Adult Day;

5. Maintainand compile attendance records and statistical information as per reportingprocedure for submission to CSS Manager;

6. AssistCSS Coordinators & Manager in preparing Quarterly Reports for the Adult DayProgram;

7. Assistin and/or plan the transportation of clients to and from activities relating toAdult Day Program across the Rainy River district;

9. Liaisewith CSS Coordinators to schedule staff for Adult Day Programming across theRainy River district;

1 0. Collect weekly revenues fromeach site an prepare deposit in conjunction with CSS Coordinators;

1 1. Complete and submit pettycash purchases in conjunction with CSS Coordinators;

12. Maintain rental site andAdult Day program equipment as per usage contract;

13. Inventory control of AdultDay program equipment and supplies;

14 . Regular travel across thedistrict as needed;

15. Assist with Assisted Living,Home Support, or any other areas within CSS as assigned by CSS Coordinators orManager;

16. Any other duties as assignedby CSS Coordinators or Manager.

R esponsible tothe manager orsupervisor of Community Support Services.
