Job summary

Techedin is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer for a hybrid role in Toronto, with 3 days remote. You will design, build, test, and maintain scalable web applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Toronto and other locations.

The role requires 5+ years of experience and deep expertise in React, Redux, Node.js, and modern CI/CD practices. This contract role offers a competitive hourly rate and dynamic projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of daily workflow.
• Experience with React and Redux frameworks.
• Experience with Node.js and NPM.
• Experience with Git and GitHub for source control.

Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality, secure, and stable software
• Build and maintain web-based solutions that support cross-platform development and experiences
• Participate in software design and code reviews
• Develop task estimates, evaluate risks, and identify dependencies to support project planning
• Work collaboratively with software engineers, QA professionals, and designers across Toronto and other engineering locations.
• Contribute to discussions around software architecture and design
• Support the development of solutions that deliver a high-quality customer experience
• Work as part of a collaborative engineering team to achieve shared technical and product goals

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role
• Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on professional experience developing production software with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot as part of a daily development workflow
• Hands-on experience with React and Redux frameworks
