Job summary

Feathery is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to own features across the stack—from API design to frontend UI. You will collaborate closely with product and design to ship high-impact features and scale core product capabilities end-to-end.

Ideal candidates have 3–6+ years building full stack apps, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and experience with Node.js or Django, APIs, and AWS. This is a fast-paced startup role with growth potential in Toronto.

Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience building full stack applications.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React).
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Node.js, Django, or similar.
• Experience designing APIs and working with distributed systems or asynchronous processing.
• Familiarity with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Experience shipping features end-to-end in a collaborative environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop APIs and services that power core product functionality.
• Build intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces.
• Own features from concept through production.
• Collaborate with product and design to define and build new features.
• Work with other engineers to integrate APIs and data models effectively.
• Contribute to product planning, technical scoping, and architecture decisions.
