Job summary

Jenoptik Light & Safety builds the civil security and smart city systems used by agencies across North America and Europe. We're looking for a fullstack developer to build and maintain the C# backend and React frontend that power our web application.

You'll work closely with product, design, and engineering to turn requirements into working software, end to end, on a team that values clean code and real ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a fullstack developer, ideally with C#, .NET Core, and React.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, including data persistence, caching, and asynchronous processing.
• Proficient in C#, .NET Core, and related tools and frameworks, as well as React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and knowledge of API design principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working on a globally distributed engineering team.
• Strong communication skills. You can explain technical concepts clearly to developers, other technical teams, and management.
• Comfortable absorbing technical detail quickly and making sound decisions under tight deadlines, even with incomplete information.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, preferably Microsoft Azure, along with experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker.

This role occasionally requires standing, walking, sitting, and using your hands to handle tools, objects, or a keyboard.
