Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. in Montreal, QC, is seeking an accomplished backend Java developer to align features with business needs and architectural directions. The role focuses on API integrations, microservices, and Kafka flows, plus building robust CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of back-end Java experience, strong Spring Boot knowledge, and hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EKS, SQS). Familiarity with Jira Xray and an Agile environment is also expected.

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Have eight (8) years or more of significant experience in back-end Java development
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot
• Have experience with APIs and application integrations
• Demonstrate good comfort with relational databases
• Understand CI/CD practices and the software development lifecycle
• Master DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, Nexus, and Docker
• Experience with AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EKS, and SQS
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of Xray in Jira
• Have experience working in an Agile context
