Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Bradford site is seeking a FSQA Technician to monitor food safety and QA programs on the production floor. You will ensure GMP, HACCP, and related standards are followed and act quickly to initiate corrective actions when needed.

Your role requires solid communication, reliability for shifts, and the ability to work in a high-speed manufacturing environment while wearing PPE and following safety protocols.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

As a member of the facility's FSQA team, the FSQA Technician spends majority of their time on the production floor monitoring Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and other Quality Assurance Program requirements to ensure they are consistently achieved. Operating with a sense of urgency, the Technician is responsible for initiating immediate corrective actions wherever possible and escalating FSQA concerns as required. The Technician must be comfortable respectfully challenging others in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Essential Qualifications

• Secondary Education
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
• Previous experience in manufacturing or food production is an asset
• Able to reliably attend scheduled shifts at the Bradford location
• Ability to stand and work on the production floor for extended periods
• Ability to wear required PPE in a food manufacturing environment

Assets / Preferred

• Food manufacturing experience
• QA experience
• HACCP / GMP knowledge
