Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking an FSQA Coordinator to monitor and analyze data across Food Safety, GMP, HACCP and related QA programs. You will review escalated corrective actions and guide FSQA leadership with findings.

The role operates in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and requires comfort with large data sets and actionable recommendations. Join Maple Leaf Foods to support onboarding, product changes, audits, and training while upholding our leadership values and safety standards

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a technical role at a food manufacturing facility.
  • Proven ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Superior systems skills (including MS Office).
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and teach others.
  • Proven alignment to the Maple Leaf Leadership Values.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding of new products, packaging, ingredients, and product changes with cross-functional teams to ensure approvals, documentation, and activities are completed before first production.
  • Complete first production run evaluations to verify product meets food safety, quality, and customer requirements prior to product release.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper execution of Hold and Release program.
  • Function as the Gatekeeper of SharePoint, SAP.
  • Maintain and coordinate verification and changes to SOPs in SharePoint and SAP.
  • Conduct CCP and/or prerequisite training and other Food Safety Training.
  • Maintain GMP Training presentations and CCP presentations.
  • Execute NCRs.
  • Coordinate FSQA document management (SOPs, training material, policies, etc).
  • Support and/or deliver FSQA training.
  • Participate in meetings and projects as required.
  • Provide back up support to FSQA Technician.
